This will help the prosthesis naturally\nstick to your gums with suction. Certain phrases may be harder to pronounce but\npracticing speech by saying the specific words that are difficult will help\nover time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watch What You Eat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest things to get adjusted to after receiving\ndentures<\/a> is your\ndiet. Because successfully chewing can take some practice, it\u2019s always best to\nstart with softer foods and liquids like soup or mashed potatoes. You should\nalso cut your food into small bites because it can make eating much easier. Plus,\nchewing slowly with both sides of your mouth will prevent your denture from\ntipping forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you grow accustomed to chewing and the function of your\ndentures, you can begin to add foods into your diet. As you add more foods to\nyour diet, be sure to avoid bones, shells, or any other hard items that could\ndamage your dentures. You should also watch out for any sticky foods,\nespecially candy. These can be hard to clean off of your dentures, but they can\nalso dislodge your prosthesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
