Dr. Erin Prach, DDS

For some people, deciding to become a dentist is not an easy decision. But for Dr. Prach, it was a career she was drawn to from an early age! She has always enjoyed helping people and learning about science. Dentistry is the best of both worlds, which is why to this day, she couldn’t be happier with the path she’s taken.

Dr. Prach’s completed her undergraduate education at Eastern Washington University before earning her dental degree at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. In 2014, she went on to complete a continuing education course on oral surgery in Guatemala. Not only does currently have the “Qualified Dentist Designation” from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, but she is about to achieve Diplomate Status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine!

Today, nothing brings Dr. Prach more joy than watching a patient’s confidence grow due to a treatment she provided. Over the years, she’s had the privilege of seeing countless people’s personalities blossom through her work, and it never fails to be rewarding. She aims to stay on top of the latest breakthroughs in dentistry by maintaining active memberships in both the American Dental Association as well as the Wyoming Dental Association.

When she’s not making people smile, Dr. Prach enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young boys. Many of her weekends involve getting her sons to their various sporting events and camping or relaxing on the lake together. In her spare time, she likes fly fishing, hiking, and practicing yoga.

Highly recommend Dr. Prach! It had been quite awhile since my last cleaning and the staff were all very welcoming, friendly, and gentle. I went in with a little bit of anxiety about the whole thing and left feeling relieved and well taken care of.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a dental checkup and cleaning cost in Douglas?

Did you know that the American Dental Association recommends seeing your provider for a routine appointment every six months? Despite this, only an estimated 45% of American adults had a dental appointment in the last year. If it’s been a while since your last visit, you might worry that you can’t afford basic preventive services.

Typically, you can expect to pay anywhere from $50 to $350 for a checkup and cleaning in Douglas, Wyoming, although the cost depends on your unique circumstances. For example, if you have dental insurance, it might cover 100% of preventative services, so there’s no out-of-pocket expense. However, you might pay more if you’re not insured, especially if you require imaging or Dr. Prach finds issues that need to be addressed.

How can I find a female dentist?

Taking care of your oral health is an incredibly personal matter, and many patients prefer a gentler touch when it comes to their smiles. If you’re looking for a dentist who identifies as a woman, you’re in luck! Nearly 1/3 of all licensed dentists today consider themselves female, and a quick internet search can list providers near Douglas to meet your needs.

At our practice, Dr. Prach is dedicated to giving attentive, personalized care so that you can trust that your dental health is in good hands. She understands how your oral condition can impact your general well-being, so she takes a whole-body approach to dental care to improve your daily quality of life.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

It’s only natural to want to find the most qualified dentist to help you maintain your teeth and gums. Fortunately, all dentists in the U.S. who are licensed to practice on patients are highly educated and experienced individuals.

To become a dentist, they first must graduate with a bachelor’s degree than receive either a Doctor of Dental Medicine or a Doctor of Dental Sciences advanced degree from one of 70+ schools accredited by the American Dental Association. Then, they can choose to focus on a specialty topic.

Dr. Prach earned her dental degree at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine before studying oral surgery in Guatemala. Now, she stays current with the latest developments in technology and techniques through active membership in the American Dental Association and the Wyoming Dental Association.
